James Carr
A Losing Game
One of the most significant figures of 60s southern soul, James Carr continues to find more and more new fans with every passing year. Headlined by a recently-discovered previously unissued alternate take of James' big Northern Soul floor filler, 'A Losing Game' also contains three rare cuts - two of them alternative versions of James' big 60s successes 'Love Attack' and 'Pouring Water On A Drowning Man' - that appeared on vinyl on a now-rare Japanese album, for the first and only time, in 1977.
