High Life
The collaboration between Brian Eno and Karl Hyde two of UK's most highly respected and influential electronic musicians continues with second fulllength record 'High Life' In the short amount of time since the release of their highly acclaimed debut album 'Someday World' which also included an incredible 'Later With Jools Holland' performance a Live From Maida Vale Session and an augmented reality iOS app the creation of 'High Life' was written and recorded over a series of sessions some of which were open to selected media from around the world None of the music on 'High Life' existed before 'Someday World' was complete The experiment drew inspiration from the repetitive minimalism of composers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass and from the polyrhythmic music of Fela Kuti and funk as well as continuing the work that Eno and Hyde have done separately The resulting album six expansive tracks over 45 minutes reunites Eno and Hyde with 20 year old producer multi instrumentalist Fred Gibson guitarist Leo Abrahams and drummer Chris Vatalaro LP Double Heavyweight Vinyl housed in Gatefold Sleeve with Download and Art Print
