First Aid Kit
The Lion's Roar
Swedish sisters First Aid Kit have come a long way since they covered Fleet Foxes’ ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’ for fun back in 2008. (That video has now had over 3.2 million views on YouTube.)
Their second album, ‘The Lion’s Roar’, was recorded in Omaha, Nebraska by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Jenny Lewis, Monsters Of Folk). Mogis and Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes, as well as Bright Eyes mainman Conor Oberst, appear on the album.
A new deluxe boxset edition of the album is now available, packaged with three bonus tracks (two exclusive to this format) on the CD, as well as a DVD which features an exclusive tour documentary and three promo videos. The discs are packaged in a digipak which comes with a fold-out poster, expanded 20 page booklet and a First Aid Kit guitar pick. All this is contained within a lift-off lid box. This box set is limited to 5000 copies in the UK and Eire.
