Recorded in calofornia by american producer joe chiccarelli (the shins, the strokes) & accompanied by various guests, including jesca hoop on ghostly backing vocals, henson has introduced some explosive new elements, exploring the sonic possibilities of his compositions. it's all still beautifully melancholy but there's a bite to it too, patricularly on the 2nd half
