Always one of the UKs most cherished bands and with the release of their last album, The Seldom Seen Kid, Elbow became one of its most successful, winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2008. Elbow were named Best British Band at the BRITS in 2009 and went on to scoop two Ivor Novellos for the single One Day Like This and Grounds For Divorce alongside a South Bank Show prize for Best Album and a NME Award for Outstanding Contribution To British Music. The band also played their biggest ever UK headline show in their hometowns MEN Arena and collaborated with both the BBC concert orchestra and Manchesters world famous Halle.
