Ride
Carnival of Light
After a three year layoff, Ride jettisoned the FX pedals and set sail for the 60s. Taking its' name from an unreleased Lennon/McCartney track, "Carnival of Light" takes (or is that tokes?) in the Buffalo Springfield, mellotrons, Rolling Stones, school choirs, the Beach Boys, the Creation (a cover of "How Does It Feel To Feel"), Deep Purple and more in a blissful homage to psychdelia in all its' wide-eyed, Laurel Canyon glory.
