'Hobo Rocket' is the fifth LP from Perth, Australia based five-piece Pond - made up of Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Joseph Ryan and Jamie Terry. Like Tame Impala it's a wonderful Psychedelic album that doesn't forget to have songs and hooks. 'Giant Tortoise's has all the dreaminess of Deerhunter, 'Whatever Happened To The Million Head Collide' is built on a sixties shuffle whilst title track 'Hobo Rocket' just rocks and rolls. It's a mind tickling album that could be Pond's break through release.
