Xavier Rudd
Nanna
Australia's virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd is due to return to European shores, this time as front-man to Xavier Rudd & The United Nations, a band of international musicians with diverse musical influences that have come together for the forthcoming album, Nanna. In the past, Xavier Rudds onstage one-man-band setup included a half-dozen guitar choices, three didgeridoos and various styles of native drum. With the release of Nanna, and the subsequent live dates, Rudd will endeavour on the next adventure of an already extensive musical career Featuring guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keys, horns, flute and backing vocals, it brings together musicians from all corners of the globe, representing the diverse cultures of Australia, Indigenous Australia, South Africa, Samoa, Germany and Papua New Guinea. Mixed by living legend Errol Brown at Tuff Gong Studios, Nanna earns its place in Rudd's impressive discography. Rudds 2002 debut album, To Let, introduced a sound that was a mix of guitars, yidakis (didgeridoos), stomp box and percussion, blues harp and vocals. In the years that followed, Rudd has released the platinum-selling album, Solace (2004), Food In The Belly (2005), White Moth (2007), Dark Shades Of Blue (2008), Koonyum Sun (2010) and the triumphant 2012 album, Spirit Bird, led by the wonderfully delicate Follow The Sun.
